After a recent signing put Iowa State over the 13 scholarship limit, Tuesday it became clear how they would remedy that. Indian Hill Community College confirmed that Richard Amardi will be released from his letter of intent.

The 6 foot 9 forward has one year or eligibility remaining. He and Indian Hills teammate Dustin Hogue were suspended following a brawl following a game this past February.

Hogue remains on the Cyclone roster.

Amardi's release seemingly frees up a scholarship for Marshall transfer Deandre Kane.

Kane moves to Iowa State on the Russell Wilson loophole, meaning since Kane received an undergraduate degree, he can play right away with one-year of eligibility remaining.

The talented Kane should start at point guard for Iowa State.
