Drivers around Polk County will want to watch their speed.
Monday the Polk County Sheriff’s Office launches its two new automated traffic enforcement vehicles. Monday and Tuesday the cameras will be in the 6500 block of NE 94th Avenue.
The Sheriff’s Office will post camera locations to its social media sites.
The office will place cameras outside city limits near dangerous intersections.
There is a 30-day grace period for speeders caught by the cameras.
After that, anyone clocked going more than 11 mph over the speed limit will be ticketed.
