Boone police are investigating several cases of vandalism. Investigators say someone spray-painted several homes and cars.

Police met with victims and took pictures of the damage, but they have not identified a suspect.

One woman says she came home to find racist words spray-painted on her boyfriend’s SUV.

“I filed a report… it had ‘KKK’ spray-painted in black spray paint across the tailgate and I took it off with WD40 and a scratch pad,” says Boone resident Joni Olney.

Boone’s police chief did not respond to our request for an interview.
