Investigators are looking into an early morning fire in Indianola they say is suspicious.
Indianola firefighters say they couldn’t do much but let it burn.
The fire happened southeast of Indianola at S-23 and Kennedy around 3:00 Thursday morning. A passerby called 911 after seeing flames shoot from the building.
It happened at a large storage warehouse on Merrywood Orchard. The building was full of hay.
Indianola Fire Chief Brian Seymour says by the time they got to the scene, most of the building was already knocked down.
Seymour says there wasn't much they could to do fight the fire, so they are letting it burn out. He says it could take a couple days to finish.
The fire is in a metal building, so Seymour believes embers would stay inside the walls keeping the fire from spreading.
Indianola is investigating the cause of the fire.
