Fort Dodge police say an arson fire and a break-in at a Red Cross office last week could be connected.

Bemrich Electric and Telephone was burglarized then set on fire early last Friday morning.

Investigators quickly determined the fire was intentionally set.

This week, they took 22-year old Tanner King into custody and charging him with arson, burglary and theft.

Police are still looking for his alleged accomplice, 23-year old Gregory White.

Police say both men could be responsible for another crime that happened shortly after that fire was set.

The Fort Dodge Red Cross office was burglarized and vandalized last Friday, as well.

Police say there is evidence that links the break-in and the arson fire but their investigation isn’t yet complete.
