A few showers will continue to spin through Eastern and Central Iowa through late this evening. A few funnel clouds are possible in southern Iowa, and while these are different types of funnels that rarely reach ground, they should still be reported and action should be taken if a tornado warning is issued.
Mild temperatures won’t have to fight off any showers on Sunday. The second day of our weekend will be nearly perfect, with highs in the upper 70s and low humidity. The north breeze will still gust close to 20mph at times, but it shouldn’t spoil the day.
We stay cool and comfortable for the next week. Highs will only be in the upper 70s for the first half of the week. By the 4th of July holiday, temperatures will be slightly warmer, reaching the lower 80s. No big rain chances this week.
