The Des Moines public school district will get a big funding boost Tuesday.
The state treasurer will present a check for over $66,000 to the district.
It comes from the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt which is the state’s unclaimed property program.
It is full of unclaimed assets from things like savings or checking accounts, stocks, un-cashed checks and safe deposit box contents.
The treasure hunt returns millions of dollars to Iowans each year.
