Officials are getting ready for the annual Yankee Doodle Pops concert.

Crews are setting up the stage at the state capitol Tuesday. Officials say the chairs and the sound set will be set up Wednesday.

The prelude to the concert starts Wednesday evening at 6:30 with the orchestra following at 8:30.

The theme for this year’s concert is Road Trip USA: An American Journey.

Due to the concert there are a few road closures you’ll have to avoid Wednesday.

Both Grand and Locust will be closed between 2nd Avenue and Robert D Ray Drive.

Penn Avenue will be closed between Locust and Grand.

DART is making it easy for you to get to Wednesday’s show. Their free downtown shuttle through the East Village and Western Gateway Park will run through 11 p.m. to take concert goers to and from the show.
