Grinnell Regional Medical Center says it’s restructuring and cutting its workforce.
It eliminated 23 jobs and 18 unfilled posts for a total of 41 positions.
Eleven other employees were offered alternative roles within the medical center.
Management notified the employees of the changes Monday.
The facility says restructuring was needed due to a decline in revenues caused by government cuts to Medicare and Medicaid and lower admissions.
The medical center says it also cut the salaries of its senior administrative team.
