Des Moines police are investigating an early Wednesday morning home invasion.

It happened just after 1 a.m. in the 1700 block of Capital Avenue.

The suspect came in through the back door, stuck a gun in the female victim’s face and told her to “be quiet.”

The police report say the suspect took off with the victim’s purse, laptop, and drug materials.

The victim tells police her home was also broken into two weeks earlier.

The homeowner told police she didn’t know of any suspects or enemies that would target her.

Police haven’t made any arrests in the case.
