Tonight will be a beautiful night in Central Iowa. Through 7 PM, there will be a few isolated showers in southern Iowa. Other than that, skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will fall to the 60s by early Thursday.

The 4th of July forecast will be fantastic with more sunshine and only a couple of pop-up showers in the late afternoon and early evening. The best chance of showers Thursday will be east of I-35. Any showers that do develop should diminish in time for fireworks displays. Highs will be in the mid-80s.

Friday through Sunday will be hot and mostly sunny. The next best chance for storms will move through the state Monday and Tuesday.
