During the evening, isolated storms may pop up that could produce some large hail and damaging wind gusts. More storms are expected overnight through early Tuesday morning, especially in northern Iowa. These storms may also produce some hail and damaging winds.

It will remain hot on Tuesday. A HEAT ADVISORY goes into effect at noon on Tuesday for Southwest Iowa. This is where temperatures will be in the 90s, dewpoints will be in the 70s and heat index values will range from 105 to 110 degrees.

As a cold front crosses the state late Tuesday, another round of storms could fire up. Once the front passes, temperatures will be lower on Wednesday in the upper 80s and the humidity will be lower as well.
