The Iowa National Guard will unveil two new updated models of helicopters Tuesday.
They are the CH-47F Chinook and the UH-72A Lakota.
The latest Chinook features a new digital cockpit with enhanced communication and navigation equipment. The body of the machine has also been modified to reduce vibrations.
The Lakota is used for emergency medical transportation and search and rescue. Now, the helicopter’s main cabin is re-configurable allowing more flexibility.
Both machines will be introduced at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Davenport.
