Des Moines police think four burglaries this week in the city’s Lower Beaver Neighborhood are related.

Police say they all happened Tuesday, within eight hours of each other.

The first two happened at a duplex in the 5000 block of Oaklyn Drive. Officers say when the occupants got home, they noticed someone had broken in and two suspects were inside the other side of the duplex.

The victims in both units told police jewelry was taken.

A homeowner in the 3800 block of Lindlavista Way also reported her home had been burglarized when she got home from work. Police say the burglars took about $2,700 worth of jewelry there.

Then, just down the street in the 3400 block of Lindlavista, a man told police it looked like his neighbor’s house had been broken into. Police say nothing was taken, but it looks like the burglars tried to take a large flat screen TV.

Police haven’t made any arrests or named any suspects yet.
