Two arrests have been made in the murder of a Des Moines man in June.

Des Moines police say 46-year-old Spencer Pierce and 26-year-old Deanna Hood are charged with first degree murder and first degree robbery in connection with the death of 35-year-old Steven Harmon.

His body was found around 1:30 a.m. on June 6th in the area of 1631 E. Aurora after someone called police about a possible shooting.

Police say it appears Pierce and Hood killed Harmon during a robbery.

The two suspects are already in custody on narcotics charges stemming from the execution of a search warrant related to the murder investigation.
