HOMICIDE ARREST: Fort Dodge Duo Charged

Police have arrested two people in connection with the death of 22-year old Steven Fisher.

Fisher’s body was found Wednesday in the 2500 mile of Madison Avenue around 5 miles south of Fort Dodge by a passer-by.

Initially, investigators didn’t know the identity of the body.

It was taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Officer for identification and an autopsy. They determined Fisher’s death was a homicide.

steven fisher Friday, officers found Fisher’s vehicle in the 1300 block of 2nd Avenue South in Fort Dodge. It was seized and sent to the crime lab.

Police say their investigation led to the arrests of 28-year old Ronald Dilley and Holly Ekstrom, 22. Both are from Fort Dodge.

They have been charged with first degree murder and are being held in Webster County jail on a $500,000 bond.

Police are not releasing a motive for the murder and are not saying how Fisher was killed.

A makeshift memorial now stands where Fisher's body was found in the ditch.

Fisher's family declined to comment.
