Police have arrested two people in connection with the death of 22-year old Steven Fisher.
Fisher’s body was found Wednesday in the 2500 mile of Madison Avenue around 5 miles south of Fort Dodge by a passer-by.
Initially, investigators didn’t know the identity of the body.
It was taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Officer for identification and an autopsy. They determined Fisher’s death was a homicide.
Police say their investigation led to the arrests of 28-year old Ronald Dilley and Holly Ekstrom, 22. Both are from Fort Dodge.
They have been charged with first degree murder and are being held in Webster County jail on a $500,000 bond.
Police are not releasing a motive for the murder and are not saying how Fisher was killed.
A makeshift memorial now stands where Fisher’s body was found in the ditch.
Fisher’s family declined to comment.
