Fair weather clouds are developing over Central Iowa this afternoon and there are a few isolated storms, mainly in Eastern Iowa. The showers and storms will remain very isolated in nature and there may be a downpour or two in some of them. The showers are not expected to make a dent in the dry conditions.
Humidity and the temperatures will be rising in the days to come with highs back in the 90s. Through the mid to late part of the week. It will become more uncomfortable.
Late Friday a cool front will push into the state and could bring another round of widely scattered showers or storms, but rain chances still look to be rather low for most locations.
