Officials in eastern Iowa are releasing new information in the search for the missing person on the Cedar River.

Officials say they are searching for 19-year-old Andre Tims who has been missing since Sunday afternoon.

Tims was tubing and kayaking with friends when he went under. Friends say he doesn’t know how to swim.

Rescue crews are now using a special boat from Saylorville equipped with side view sonar equipment in an effort to find him.

The latest incident in eastern Iowa comes after an autopsy reveals a 29-year-old Davenport woman drowned last week.

Crews pulled Jennifer Cooney’s body out of the Mississippi River Friday morning near the Crescent Bridge.

Officials say foul play has been ruled out. The incident is still under investigation.
