The names of the drivers involved in a deadly accident in northeast Iowa Wednesday have been released.

KWWL reports the accident happened about a mile north of Janesville on Highway 218 Wednesday afternoon. The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call about a truck traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes.

Before deputies could respond, the truck collided head on with another vehicle. The driver of the truck, 58-year-old Verle Wygle of Waterloo, was taken to a Waterloo hospital. His condition hasn’t been released.

The driver of the other vehicle, 51-year-old Tracy Willis of Faribault, MN, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the crash involved three other vehicles but no one else was injured.

The investigation into the crash continues.
