Allegiant Air has announced a third Florida destination for its service from the Des Moines International Airport.
Nonstop flights to Punta Gorda begin December 19th and will operate twice a week.
“The Des Moines Airport Authority is excited to welcome Allegiant’s nonstop flights serving Southwest Florida from Des Moines International Airport,” said Kevin Foley, General Manager at the Des Moines International Airport. “This flight provides Central Iowa with another city connection, and we are confident Allegiant will be successful in this new market.”
Allegiant Air says one way fares for the Des Moines-Punta Gorda flights will be as low as $119.99.
Allegiant already provides nonstop service to St. Petersburg and Sanford, which is just outside of Orlando.
