Officials have released the name of a woman whose body was found in a field in southwest Iowa over the weekend.

The Division of Criminal Investigation says 31-year-old Maggie Weaver, of Brookfield, Missouri, was discovered deceased Saturday night. The body was found in a field just west of Lenox.

Weaver is a former resident of Creston, Iowa.

The DCI says there were no obvious signs of foul play.

The Taylor County sheriff's office continued to search for clues in the corn-field she was found in with metal detectors.

DCI says they were just making sure no stone was left unturned.

"We just wanted to be thorough. If this had been a homicide and she had died at the hands of another, we'd want to know. So, you never know," explained Special Agent Laura Meyers.

Family members were notified Sunday. Many of them shared their grief on social media sites wondering who was responsible.

That's a question DCI tried to answer as they completed an autopsy Monday.
