A unique and specialized service is available at Blank Children’s Hospital. The Travel Clinic assists children and parents from catching an infectious disease before going abroad.

Dr. Amaran Moodley, Infectious Disease Pediatrician tells us, “Children are different than adults when it comes to dosage requirements, and may also experience different side effects to certain medications. By visiting the travel clinic prior to leaving the country, children will benefit from our country specific recommendations for vaccinations and preventative medicine."

“Our goal," continues Dr. Moodley, "is to keep you healthy during your trip and after you return. We recommend coming in 6-8 weeks prior to travel, however, it’s never too late to stop in and be seen.”

The Travel Clinic offers national and international expertise appropriate for helping world-traveling children. The clinic is run by physicians who are infectious disease pediatricians at Blank Children’s Hospital.
