One Iowa cook won more than just a ribbon for her recipe at the Iowa State Fair.
Runnells Resident Cristen Clark took first prize in the Kenmore Honored Harvest Time Recipe contest on Saturday.
Along with the blue ribbon and bragging rights, Clark took home a Kenmore kitchen makeover, a trip to New York City to cook with celebrity chefs and a spot in the Kenmore 100th anniversary cookbook.
Contestants were judged on taste, presentation, and uniqueness.
Kyle Barton of West Des Moines took home second place in coming in third place was Pamela Reynolds of Norwalk.
