The Iowa State Fair showed its support for local troops, Monday.
Visitors paused to recognize the men and women in uniform as they marched down the Grand Concourse.
Every branch of the military was represented.
Three sisters decided to attend the fair especially for the parade to remember members of their family.
“We had two brothers in World War II and a brother who died in the beach of Normandy so it’s very kind of tearful today,” Josephine Netcott said.
If you missed the parade Monday, you can catch the “Remembering our Fallen” display at the Jacobson Exhibition Center through the length of the State Fair.
