Clive’s city council could vote Thursday to turn its red light cameras back on.

In July, the council voted not to renew a contract with the company that owns the cameras.

However council members now say its budget for the next year depends on revenue from the cameras.

The council is expected to vote to turn the cameras back on at Thursday night’s meeting, then get rid of them permanently next June.
