The Urbandale All-Stars were hoping for a win in their first game at representing the Midwest at the Little League World Series.
Their family, friends and most of the metro were also hoping for the same thing.
Many spent the Friday evening at Overtime in Urbandale cheering on the All-Stars at the championship.
In the lead up to the game, it seemed the parents were more excited than the players.
“It’s a dream come true, an absolute dream come true. There’s 16 teams in the world that are coming to this place and Urbandale’s one of them so it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity,” says Barry Pattison.
Their game against Newark, DE ended in a 6-3 loss.
