There was a different kind of physical challenge on the fairgrounds Thursday.

There was a young farmer challenge at the Pioneer Livestock Pavilion where an obstacle course put farming skills to the test.

Teams of four threw hail bails, smash eggs, and went for a ride in a tractor tire.

Most of the contestants were raised on the farm but organizers said they don’t stop city folk from giving it a try. Organizers said everyone is welcome to test their skills on the course and whether you are from the farm or the city, it’s just a lot of fun.

The adults took their turn on the obstacle course on Thursday night.
