For the 6th time the state of Iowa represents the Midwest region at the Little League World Series.

In 15 games at Williamsport PA, Iowa has just one win and that came 4 years ago from, Urbandale.

This year’s Urbandale Little Leaguers were trying to add their names to the record books, Friday.

They took on the Mid-Atlantic champion, Newark, DA on a picture perfect evening televised by ESPN.

It was a terrible start for Urbandale.  Newark scores 5 in the 1st to lead 5-0.

Urbandale gets a couple back in the bottom half.  But the offense sputters after that.

Both teams managed just one more run each.  Urbandale lose to Delaware 6-3.
