AGRIBUSINESS REPORT: New names for Pork Cuts
There might be new names for pork cuts in the meat case; that is one of the National Pork Board’s goal for this year – simplifying the names of pork cuts to make them a little more familiar.
Among the new names: Porterhouse Pork Chop, Ribeye Pork Chop, and New York Pork Chop. The National Pork Board says customer confusion was a major factor in the changes. Consumers may notice the changes coincide with the annual uptick in pork sales during the summer.
