The fair weather for the entire 11-day run during the Iowa State Fair wasn’t enough to help top last year’s attendance figures.

A total of 1,047,246 attended the fair.

Sunday’s attendance was 103,656 which was enough to push the total into the seven figures.

The day with the highest attendance was last Saturday with more than 112-thousand people passing through the turnstiles.

The opening day attracted just over 78-thoudsand people.

This year’s attendance is down from last year by about 50,000 people.
