A new report shows Iowa’s adult obesity rate remained stable in 2012.

According to “Trust for America’s Health”, a no-profit and non-partisan group, just over 30-percent of Iowa adults are obese. That makes Iowa the 12th most obese state in the nation.

Iowa is one of 13 states with adult obesity rates above 30-percent.

Louisiana has the highest rate at 34.7-percent and Colorado has the lowest at 20.5-percent.

The report uses data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
