Isolated showers continue to move east across Northern Iowa this afternoon.
Skies are partly sunny in Central Iowa this afternoon with highs in the low 90s.
Slightly cooler air is in the process of dropping in from the north, but it won’t make it in time for this afternoon. The push of cooler air could spark some isolated storms this evening in Northern Iowa, but the best chance for rain will likely be well north of Des Moines, or in Nebraska later in the overnight.
By tomorrow morning, some of the leftovers from Nebraska may push into Western Iowa, mainly along Highway 20 and Highway 30, but they should fizzle out as they approach Interstate 35.
