Ames Police say there’s been a recent rash of graffiti on Main Street and around Campustown.

According to authorities, graffiti has recently been found on rental, commercial, private, and city property.

Authorities also say the city has seen nearly 100 new cases of such vandalism in the past year.

All rental property owners are reminded that they are required to clean up any graffiti on their property or face a fine.
