The Governor will be speaking at a local clinic on Friday morning.

He’s scheduled to make a speech at the Iowa Clinic in West Des Moines to thank the clinic for its donation and support for the Rural Physician Loan Repayment Program.

The Iowa Clinic is a physician owned and operated group who said it wanted to show its support for this unique program by being the first private organization to donate.

The program selects 20 medical students and supports them practicing in rural Iowa for at least 5 years.

Supporters of the program hope that these new doctors choose to practice in rural Iowa.

The program’s supporters hope that the new doctors in the program choose to then stay and practice in rural Iowa.
