TWO-BY-FOUR ATTACK: Des Moines Woman Jailed

A Des Moines woman was arrested in Waterloo Thursday night for allegedly hitting a man with a two-by-four.

KWWL reports 53-year-old Lenora Slick has been charged with willful injury.

Waterloo police were called to 218 E. Ninth Street around 11:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found 48-year-old James Sagert suffering from a large cut on his forehead. Police say he had been hit by a two-by-four board. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Slick is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail without bond.
