MAN SHOT: West Des Moines Police Investigate

West Des Moines police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.

Police say they were called to Mercy Hospital around 2:41 a.m. after a man showed up with a gunshot wound. Twenty-five-year-old Freddie Millsap Jr. told police he was leaving a concert at the Val Air Ballroom between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. when the shooting happened.

Millsap was walking to his car in the parking lot when he heard three gunshots. One of those shots hit him in the arm.

Police say no arrests have been made in the case and they are continuing the investigation.
