SPEED CAMERAS: School Zone Changes

Polk County is changing how it operates its mobile speed cameras.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says when the cameras are in a school zones, speeders will receive violations beginning at six miles per hour over the speed limit.

All other violations start at 11 miles over the speed limit.

Monday, you can find the cameras in the 7200 block of Northwest 26th Street and the 4900 block of Northwest Beaver Avenue.
