Des Moines police have made three arrests in connection with a convenience store robbery early Sunday morning.

Police say two men robbed the Kum and Go in the 100 block of Army Post Road. Officers say the men put bandanas over their face and hit an employee.

Police arrested three people involved in the robbery Sunday afternoon. Jonathan Willies and Darren Gardner, both 18-years-old, are charged with first degree robbery. They are being held in the Polk County Jail on a bond of $25,000 each.

A 14-year-old juvenile was also arrested.

The clerk is recovering from his injuries, which required eight staples in the head.

Police say there may be more arrests in the case.
