This week’s extreme heat means Drake University football fans will have to wait just a bit longer to watch their team take the field.

The Bulldogs’ opening game is scheduled for Thursday night at Drake Stadium and the game will happen, just a little later than originally planned. Kickoff has been moved back from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The university hopes the time change will give players and fans a little relief from the heat.

Drake takes on Grand View University in the game. Tickets for adults are $12 and kids can get in for $6.
