The University of Iowa is taking extra precaution for its first football game this weekend.

Iowa takes on Northern Illinois around 2:30 in the Saturday afternoon heat.

Officials say cooling stations will be available at all corners of the stadium. They’ll be equipped with tents for shade, misting stations and cold towels. There will also be extra paramedics at the stadium and on-call.

The stadium will also have water for sale at a reduced rate of $2.

Fans can bring in sealed water bottles or an empty reusable bottle.

Expertssuggest you begin hydrating several days before attending the game.
