HAWKEYE FOOTBALL: Police Busy After Games

The heat kept emergency crews busy in and around Kinnick Stadium for Saturday’s game.

The University’s Public Safety Department responded to 48 medical calls.  The first aid station saw about 100 patients.

Police issued 28 citations for open container violations and ticketed another 11 people for underage drinking.

Another dozen were arrested for public intoxication.

Iowa City Police said the numbers of those arrested are consistent with a football Saturday.
