The U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry made the rounds on the political talk shows Sunday morning.

This comes just one day after President Obama said he would seek the approval of Congress for a military strike in Syria.

Congress is scheduled to return from its summer recess on September 9.  The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will begin a debate on using military force in Syria on Tuesday.

Iowa Senator Tom Harkin released a statement about his feelings on Syria, stating that he found the evidence presented to be circumstantial but that the use of chemical weapons against civilians is a violation of International Law.

Senator Charles Grassley released a statement as well.  His said that he wanted more information on the goals, plans, and outcomes of U.S. involvement in Syria.
