The last unofficial day of summer will be a pleasant one with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 80s and even upper 70s in parts of northern Iowa.

80s will hang on until the end of the week.

Friday will bring the return of 90s and the weekend will stay hot.

The forecast for the rest of the week looks dry, with only a slight chance of showers or storms late Wednesday into Thursday, though most of the rain will likely stay west of Central Iowa.
