An annual tradition in Webster County just wrapped up but officials say they’re already thinking about next year’s Dayton Rodeo.

The 76th annual Dayton Rodeo entertains thousands of fans each year but organizers hope making the facility more fan-friendly will bring in even more people next year.

“We want to do some things like change our seating, get some stadium seating, get some new bathroom facilities. We’re constantly thinking of how to accommodate the crowd better,” explains Jesse Green.

The hope is to take the Dayton rodeo from Iowa’s third largest event to the number one event in the state.

Many of this year’s events were in honor of Kathlynn Shepard, a teen abducted and murdered near Dayton.
