LOSING STREAK: Hawks Aim For A ‘W’
The buildup for football season is so sweet but a loss in week one and there it goes – might as well toss in the towel – or at least that’s how it may feel.
It doesn’t help that Saturday’s season opening loss was the Hawkeyes’ 7th straight. It’s been almost 11 months since Iowa has put a W in the results column.
The next 4 games on the schedule are winnable.
“The bottom line is we didn’t play well enough and if somebody played better maybe we would have had a better chance of winning so that’s the focus at this point,” James Morris says.
There were plenty of positives from week one that leave at least a little hope for the rest of the season
Hawks opponent this week are not bringing as big of a punch. Iowa kicks off against Missouri State at 11 a.m., Saturday.
It’s the first matchup between the Hawkeyes and the Bears.
