After re-appointing Larry Noble as Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Public Safety Wednesday, the governor also named Brenna Findley as the interim chief of staff.
Findley has agreed to serve in the position until a permanent replacement is found.
She will also maintain her role as the governor’s legal counsel.
“Brenna will provide continuity within our office as I search for a new chief of staff,” Branstad said. “I am pleased Brenna has agreed to serve in this important role, and will rely on her leadership as we continue the work and operations of my administration.”
Jeff Boeyink served in the role for four years but announced his resignation last week to take a job in the private sector. He will still work on Branstad’s re-election campaign.
A permanent chief of staff won’t be named after September 18th when the governor returns from a trade mission to Japan and India.
