David Flores made an appearance in court Thursday morning, after he was arrested Wednesday on domestic assault charges.
This is the third time Flores has landed in jail since he was released from prison in early July. Flores served 15 years for murder, and was then granted a new trial when new evidence surfaced in the case.
Flores reached a plea deal before his re-trial started and was sentenced to time served and released.
According to a police report, officers were called to Flores’ home Wednesday after a caller said they could hear a man and woman yelling in the garage, and things being thrown.
When police got there, they say Flores’ girlfriend had a red handprint shaped mark on her back and scratches on her legs. Flores denied that any physical altercation had taken place, but his girlfriend said he hit her in the back and knocked her to the ground.
The judge told Flores in court that a no contact order had been issued against him.
