RESTAURANT WEEK: 2013 Biggest Yet
Organizers say this year’s Restaurant Week was record breaking.
Officials say the economic impact in the metro added up to $308,000 up from $285,000 in 2012.
Nearly 22,000 people dined at 32 participating restaurants from August 16th to the 25th.
That’s a 10-percent increase from 2012.
Restaurants offered special menus at the set price of $25 in the hopes of getting people out to try new things.
Des Moines Restaurant Week will back next August.
