This week President Obama reiterated his desire to complete the Trans-Pacific Partnership this year.
The President said it will boost economic growth and shore up global security. Leaders of all 11 nations involved have agreed on the goal of finishing the talks by the end of the year.
Progress was reportedly made during the 19th round of the trade talks, held recently in Brunei.
The next meeting of top negotiators will take place September 18th through the 21st in Washington D.C.
