More employees at Aviva have been notified that their positions could be eliminated during the next two years, after the company Athene Holdings and Apollo Global Management takes over.

Aviva is based out of West Des Moines.

The president of Athene tells Channel 13 that 326 positions are being eliminated at the end of a two year period, if there is no growth with Athene and Apollo.

We found out last week that 154 people were given notice that they’ll lose their jobs next month, when the new company takes over and eliminates some positions. Ninety of those positions are in the Des Moines metro.

That reduces the workforce considerably. Three-hundred and fifty people have also left the company since December. The company says it does not currently plan on filling those vacated positions.
